Assignment Tasks

Part 2: Design Process Application (40 points)

Choose an everyday problem and apply the engineering design process to propose a solution:

1. Define the problem
2. Conduct background research
3. Specify requirements
4. Brainstorm solutions (at least 3)
5. Select the best solution and justify your choice
6. Create a preliminary design sketch

Part 3: Reflection (20 points)

Write a one-page reflection addressing:

• What you learned about the engineering design process
